Shiela Stewart August 13 Been a while/ New stuffI have been a bad Blogger, yes indeed. My life has been busy beyond belief. I now have two books out in ebook format and in print. Kidnapped is available at Amazon.com, Lindenbayromance and several other sites. In print, it is availbale at those same sites, plus on my site at, www.shielasbooks.ca, as well as at the Saskatoon Branch of McNally Robinson.
Both books have been getting excellent reviews.
I've had my first book signing, as well as my first TV interview. Both local. I can say i am not eager to repeat the TV interview. I was soooo nervous. The book signing went well, sold quite a few books and enjoyed the experiance thoroughly. I am schedualed for another book signing at the Saskatoon Branch of McNally Robinson on September 22nd. I will be signing copies of my latest release, Secrets of the Dead. So come on down and get your very own signed copy.
I have also signed a contract for three books in a series. The Passion Series, once titled, For Love Series. Discovery in Passion will be released mid November, with the other following six to eight weeks later, and the third six to eight weeks after that. For a brief glimpse into the books, go to my website and click on Books. I will be adding the delicious covers to myu pictures here shortly. So by the time you read this, they will be here. They are HOT HOT HOT!!!!
Aside from all that, I have had a busy summer. Two of my sisters came out for my book signing(one in ontario the other two hours away from me), as well as two of my nieces. They held a surprise party for me and it was a blast. I'll add some of those pictures as well.
I promise I will do more to post here and keep you all up to date on my hectic life as an Author.

February 27 Another bookSecrets of the Dead
Have I got your attention yet? I hope so becasue it's my next book beng published. I'm not going to post an excerpt here, because it would be too long. So please, go to my website and check it out. I'm getting plenty of good feedback on this book already. I can't wait for it to be released this June.
I will, however give you a teaser.
It's a ghost story involving a man who can communicate with the dead, a woman who is a staunch disbeliever and a secret that refuses to stay buried.
Kidnapped is doing well and will most likely be out in paperback in April or May. I have mixed emotions about this because it scares the heck out of me to have it in book form. I'm just getting used to promoting it in EBook form, I have no clue ow to promote it in Paperback. And the thought of books signing-well, it's bets i not think about that now as I might hyperventalate. LOL

January 04 Over due postWow, am I slacking in posting. Bad me.
What's new with me, sooooooo much. I have been soooo busy in the past month and a half that I'vve regretfully neglected my blog.
In less than a month, Kidnapped will be released in e-format with Linden Bay Romance and I can't wait. It's been a long proccess of getting it print ready but it's been well worth it. This being my first book, I've learned so much about writing and ediing and I've had wonderful editors who have guided me to a better book.
Aside from Kidnapped my life has been hectic. My hubby and I have bought a new house and will be putting the one we're in up for sale in a little over a week. So I have been busy patching, painting and packing, making my house show ready for when it gopes up for sale.
Secrets of the Dead has been contracted by Linden Bay Romance, YAHOOOOOO :) It was originally slotted for a June release, but I've been told that the editor want to bump it up sooner. I can't wait and I'm so excited about seeing the cover.
So far, 2007 has been pretty good to me :)

Kidnapped
Abduction with Seduction
November 06 Monday NewsIt is Monday morning and a rather dreary day at that. I have a full day ahead of me, doing rewrites and editing of Awaken the Demon. I only have a few weeks to get this book in shape before I start on finally edits for Kidnapped, which is due February 1st 2007.
Awaken the Demon as well as Secrets of the Dead, have been picked up for publication by Linden Bay Romance and what a thrill that is for me. Secrets of the Dead is scheduled for June 1st 2007 release and Awaken the Demon is scheduled for August 1st 2007 release.
For those of you who have read Awaken the Demon and Conquer the Demon, count yourselves as the lucky ones, you've read the original. The version that will be released will be slightly different than the original, only in the fact that I have changed some dates, and altered the plot to accommodate for the change in dates. And one major change to the plot of ATD, a new ending. Yes, you heard me, a new ending.
Because of the alterations to ATD, I will be rewriting CTD, and then, of course, I will have to go into both Offer the Demon and Claiming the Demon and make some changes. So….as you can see, I will be busy. Add onto that, we are in the process of looking to buy another house. I like to keep busy, what can I say J

Shiela Stewart Kidnapped Abduction with Seduction October 05 Just breatheokay, so i have been doing some research into promoting my book, Kidnapped, and it nearly sent me into a frenzy. Sweet god, where do i start, what do i do, how do i do it, ahhhhhhh! Just breathe.
I can do this, all i need is a good stiff drink - or ten, and I'll be good to go. I hope. I know the book won't be out until spring, but I thought I should get started on researching promotions. and now I have the shakes.
I can do this, this too shall pass. If I keep reciting that, i might, might be okay :)
Shiela October 02 Kidnapped Being PublishedI did it, i finally did it. All the blood sweat and tears have paid off. Kidnapped is being published by Linden Bay Publishers. It won't be released until March or April, and Lord the waitng is a killer. I am sooooo thrilled.
Now all i do is wait (sigh)
Shiela September 14 Oh Woah is meAs I sit here typing I am listeing to the rain falling outside my window. I don't mind the rain, providing it only lasts a day. The weather forcast is calling for rain for the rest of the week :(
But, maybe mother nature is feeling like I am today. CRAPPY! The migraine that I had hoped would subside and leave me be, has taken up permanent residance, apparently. And to top that off, i have a cold. But....I did manage to fix up my web site and add some new stuff, removed some old stuff and shifted some other stuff around. I've put the brief excerpt section back on the main page and I will be changing it periodically.
Unfortunately, i haven't felt up to writing much these past few days. I might be able to do some writing in my comfy chair, if my loving hubby had left my lap top at home instead of taking it with him to Ottowa. Oh well, he did send me a HUGE bouquet of mixed flowers, including roses, carnations and other asssorted flowers, for our 21st Anniversary, which is tomorrow, the 14th. What a sweetie. It might be a better Anniversary if he were actually here to enjoy it with me. But he won't be home until Friday :(
It's a quiet house today and will be that way for the rest of the week. Will is gone, Angie went to camp and won't be back until Friday. Matt has football until 5:30 and Chris has a soccor game at 7 tonight and won't be home from work until 5:30.
So i will take advantage of tthe quiet (my head prefers it that way) soothe my aching throat with hot tea, take yet another Zomig for my head and hope i feel better soon.
September 01 Long time no post, oopsWow, a month since my last post. Show's how busy I've been. But I finally finished Kidnapped and I hope this time I got it right. If not, well....back to the drawing board. Anyone who say's writing is easy, needs to have their head slapped. Oh sure, if you want to slap some words on a page and call it a story, fine, but anything worth reading has to be done right. I'm on a story now of a young girl who is raped and murdered and haunts the place she was murder/lived, hoping someone will catch her killer and put her to rest. She communicates with her great neice Sydney,who is a timid sort of girl. While living with her grandmother, Sydney falls in love with the groundskeeper and helps solve a 52 year old murder.
I guess why I'm so fond of paranormal is because I lived in a haunted house once, and I have seen ghosts. Call me whacky, fine and dandy but i have. I fully believe that the dead do come back in some form to comunicate with the living. But I better not get started or I'll be at this for hours. I based this story on a song I wrote when i was fourteen called, Orchids in the Moonlight.
When i'm finished writing and editing it, I'll post a synopsis on my Romantic Desires website.
